I know how tedious and often frustrating brushstrokes can be.
Even with two decades of experience as a painter, I still struggled with them in the earlier days of my painting practice.
Other artists made them look so effortless, while I felt unsteady and unsure, only able to truly master a single direction of stroke for months on end.
What I didn't understand at the time, was just how much of a role factors like wrist movement and bristle strength played.
Now, I'm breaking down the entire process of becoming masterful at beautiful brushstrokes into a step-by-step formula, so that you too can elevate your mandala painting practice to new heights, new designs, and new price points.

How it works
When I was designing the curriculum for this course, I thought for a long time about how to teach something like brushstrokes.
What exactly would students need from me to take something that can often feel overwhelming or altogether impossible, and make it— the opposite? Flowy. Confident. Effortless. Especially for those with no art background or prior experience with a paintbrush.
Two key components immediately came to mind:
1. A comprehensive breakdown of the many different & individual movements that make up the perfect stroke. I wanted to take something that usually lasts about a second, and break it down into pieces that could me learned separately, and then effectively put back together. I believe that any new process or skill can be learned this way, especially executing beautiful brushstrokes.
2. Guided repetition, and LOTS of it. You’ve probably heard it before, but mastering something new is about practicing it— a LOT. The truth is that the perfect brushstroke is something that the brain and body must become conditioned for. It’s more 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 than it is conscious. That’s why the curriculum consists of over 20 different paint-along designs with accompanying practice pages, al that you don’t just learn the swooshes involved, but become VERY well practiced in them, too.
