About the Creator

Hello beautiful soul, I'm Lauren. I'm an artist and former high school art teach turned full-time entrepreneur, mindset/marketing coach and most recently, die-hard mandala-enthusiast.

I believe that most people are creative in nature and capable of producing beautiful works of art with the proper mindset and step-by-step approach to teach them how.

My story goes something like this:

2018 - Leave my career as a high school art teacher to start an online business as a mindset/marketing mentor for creative entrepreneurs

2020 - Scale said business to 6-figures and then multiple 6-figures, teaching others the power of their thoughts and how to use their mind to create any reality they desire to; alchemizing their creativity into fulfilling and impactful online income streams

2021 - Begin struggling with my own mindset and mental health in the midst of lockdowns and endless mandates for two straight years in Toronto where I live, which begins to gravely impact my business, income, and overall joy of life

2022 - Discover dot-painting as a means to become present, reconnect with myself, heal my nervous system and once again find the the peace of mind I value more than anything

2023 - Truly find myself again, and begin to build Love & Dots to help others do the same, returning to my roots as an artist and teacher, but this time through the lens of meditative art practices and the immense & powerful impact they have on our lives

Q: I'm not located in Canada or the United States. Will I still be able to purchase the tools and supplies outlined in the guide?

A: Yes! Currently, the guide includes supply lists with Amazon links & product recommendations for the top 5 countries in my audience: Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, India and Australia. If you're outside of those countries, the guide will still be invaluable to you in learning what you need to get started, however you might need to do a little research around where to purchase your supplies, after I've addresses what to look for/stay away from while investing in your dot painting tools. I'll make recommendations of ways to best accomplish that inside the video training.

Q: How much should I expect to spend on the recommended supplies?

A: It entirely depends on which products you choose to buy, and how much of each (for example, you can get started with just a couple of paint colours, or you can buy hundreds of dollars worth. Generally speaking however, the supply recommendations I make inside when added up, are as low as $40 USD (with options to make this even less) and as high as $160 USD when purchasing the more expensive options for each of your items (*these estimates vary depending on country and availability of supplies). If you're wanting to be conservative about the amount you spend to get started and then grow your mandala supply collection over time, the minicourse will guide you through which items you need to get started, and which ones you may wish to purchase in the future.

Q: Are there painting tutorials inside the kick-start? What are my next steps?

A: No, the kick-start strictly covers everything you need to know BEFORE starting to actually paint your first mandala. Inside the included video trainings however, Lauren walks through tips for next steps and getting started with your dot painting supplies. For those wanting to continue their guided learning journey upon completing the kick-start, participants will be provided with a discount code to use towards the purchase of the Love & Dots Mandala Course (which works in addition to any existing discount codes).

Q: What's the difference between the Getting Started Guide and the Love & Dots Mandala Course?

A: Think of the guide as a "prequel" to your painting practice. It's everything you need in order to get started. What I've found as I've grown Love & Dots, is that many people simply want help with knowing which supplies to purchase, or aren't wanting to invest in the full course before "dabbling" in dotting in order to find out if they even enjoy it. The Mandala Course is a full-length course with over 7 hours of content and 3 full-size dot-by-dot mandala designs that take people from beginner to intermediate-level mandala artist.
